Guitar Virtuosos
Al Di Meola
Lee Ritenour
The guitar is a true roots instrument that has been on the scene from the beginnings of American popular music… It has played a defining role in every form of music, from the blues... to R&B, jazz, and rock... few artists rise to the level of sheer virtuosity as do tonight's Guitar Masters.
Al Di Meola, GRAMMY winning guitarist, first burst on the scene in Chick Corea's historic Return to Forever band…It was just the beginning of a career spanning jazz, rock, Latin and Flamenco styles… He is long considered one of the greatest technical players in the world.
Lee Ritenour, GRAMMY winner and platinum artist, earned his nickname "Captain Fingers" for his virtuosic performances. He's appeared on more than 3000 recording sessions and recorded more than 40 albums. A pioneer of West Coast contemporary jazz... Lee is an internationally sought-after soloist, performing at every major jazz festival in the world.
